Who is the Calgary Golf Association?

The Calgary Golf Association runs 10 men’s golf tournaments every year in and around the city. Our mandate is to grow the game of golf buy offering competitive tournaments for our players on quality courses and deliver an enjoyable experience. As the largest municipal association of its kind in Canada, we are very proud to continue the long tradition of helping groom golfers that have gone on to be very successful on the provincial and national stage.

The CGA is run by a volunteer board that is passionate about growing the game in our great city. The association has a storied past and lists a who’s who of Alberta and Canadian golf legends as alumni. In 2017 we will be conducting the 100th playing of the Calgary City Amateur. We are very proud of this milestone and are planning some very exciting things for that event. Junior golf is the future of our game and the CGA strives to expose as many juniors as possible to an affordable, competitive and enjoyable tournament. Wil players as young as 12 competing in our City Junior, we are confident that we will be seeing some of these juniors competing for years to come in our men’s events.
