1.
All competitors
must be a member of an affiliate member club.
2. All contestants in amateur events are required
to have a current R.C.G.A. handicap card. certified by a
club official or professional prior to registration.
3. Dress standards will be enforced and will
be at the discretion of the C.G.A. Non compliances may cause
you to forfeit your tournament participation. All players
are expected to wear clean, pressed acceptable golf wear.
Dress shorts will be allowed (6" inseam, fly front!
side pockets, tailored bottoms). eg. No blue jeans, cutoffs,
warm-up pants, muscle shirts, t-shirts, or any shirt bearing
numbers, slogans or offensive illustrations, etc. will be
allowed on any golf course during practice rounds or during
tournaments.
Host club regulations prevail.
4. Conduct: Entrants are warned that conduct considered
detrimental to the best interests of the game, or unbecoming
of a contestant, either on or off the course, and coming
to the attention of the Committee, will be strictly dealt
with and can result in disqualification and/or suspension
of the offending person's).
5. Pace of Play: Each group must maintain its position
on the course with respect to the group preceding them.
Any group with a clear hole in front ofthem will be considered
out of position. Penalties may be issued to individuals
in such groups who by their pace contribute to such delay.
Warnings may not be issued prior to penalties. Flagrant
violation of slow play will be grounds for suspension.
*6. Over Subscription: In the event of over subscription
to any event, the lowest index at entry deadline will be
used.
7. No entry fee will be refunded if the entrant does
not provide the C.G.A. Executive Member with notice at least
7 days prior to the event.
8. Entrants missing their draw tee time without
notification to a C.G.A Executive Member may be subject
to disciplinary action.
9. Competitors are not allowed to caddy. Power
carts are allowed in Senior Events and for other events
with a medical certificate (subject to review).
10. Indexes are subject to verification by C.G.A.
11. C.G.A. does not send out entry confirmation for any
event. It is the competitor's responsibility to verify
his own entry (call the host club 4 days prior to the event
or contact our website).
12. Penalties Regarding No Show and Non Cancellation
will be at sole discretion of the C.G.A executive.
13. Golf Professionals will be restricted to C.P.G.A.
Club Pros and assistants who are working in the current
season at C.G.A. member golf clubs. Club Professionals are
allowed to play in the Riley's Best Ball and the Calgary
Best Ball with an amateur partner only.
EXCEPTION: Individuals who have applied
for and are waiting for reinstatement to amateur status
are eligible to participate with an amateur partner.
14. Distance-Measuring Devices: Players may obtain
distance information by using a device that measures distance
only. However, if, during a stipulated round, a player uses
a distance-measuring device that is designed to gauge or
measure other conditions that might affect his play (e.g.,
gradient, wind-speed, temperature, etc.), the player is
in breach of Rule 14-3, for which the penalty is disqualification,
regardless of whether any such additional functions are
actually used.
15. All C.G.A. decisions are final.
